A service center for the families of physically challenged people was put into operation at Guanhu Subdistrict in Longhua District on Monday, offering them customized services.
The center, jointly initiated by the subdistrict's federation of physically challenged persons, Longhua Disabled Persons Service Association and Shenzhen One Foundation, is a pilot program supporting families of disabled people and dedicates to building an inclusive social environment for families of physically challenged people.

The center’s social workers established different groups helping the physically challenged people to make friends and share experiences. They offer various community services caring and helping the physically challenged people. Data from Longhua Disabled Persons Service Association showed that the district will have a total of 3,722 physically challenged people by the end of this year.
