Shenzhen Expats Vlog Competiton (SEVC) is the vlog competition for expats in Shenzhen. SEVC is held and organized by the Foreign Affairs Bureau of Longhua District and it’s a platform built for expats to showcase their creativity , share their wonderful moments and communicate with each other.

Topic

The topic of the 2nd SEVC is “Shenzhen in my Eyes（A Technology and Innovation Mecca)”. With high-tech companies like Huawei and Tencent, Shenzhen has developed into one of the hottest places for new technology and innovation in the world. 

How do you feel about living and working in this city? Is there any technologies or innovations in Shenzhen you really feel impressive and want to share with your friends back home?

Please choose one of them and make a vlog to introduce it. It can be a traffic tool, an electrical product, a new invention, an App, a new business model，a place or anything else you like.

Contest period 

4th August 2022 to 31st August 2022. Entries must be submitted before 10:00 P.M. 31st August 2022.

How to sign up

Submit your vlog in an MP4 format through the following email address: [email protected].

Please make the subject of the email Shenzhen Expats Vlog Competition and include your name，nationality and cellphone number, along with a brief description of your vlog in the body of the email.

Entry requirements

The vlog should be in Mp4 format and 60 seconds to 180 seconds long. Each entrant can submit 3 vlogs at most.

Judging

Each entry will be evaluated and scored based on the following "Criteria:" artistic skills; creativity and originality; technical competency of the entry; adherence to the Competition Requirements and these Rules.

Terms and conditions

(1) The competition is open to all expats in Shenzhen or who used to live in Shenzhen.

(2) The judging panel will announce the winner before 15th September 2022.

(3) You must appear in the vlog in order for it to be considered.

(4) Entrants must not infringe anyone else’s copyright or intellectual property.

(5)The entries must not be derogatory, offensive, threatening, defamatory, disparaging, libellous or contain any content that is inappropriate, indecent, sexual, profane, tortuous, slanderous, discriminatory in any way, or that promotes hatred or harm against any group or person, or otherwise does not comply with the theme and spirit of the Contest.

(6) The organisers reserve the right to use vlogs submitted to the competition in any promotional material.

(7) The winner will be notified through email in advance of any public announcement.
