Registrationfor the amateur group of the 2021 Shared Open Data Innovation Contest (SODiC) has recently started, and offers a total prize money of about 263,000 yuan.

Contestants can sign up for the event on the official WeChat account and app of“i深圳” and the website of the contest.

Longhua District has been designated to host the competition of the amateur group of SODiC and is soliciting entries fromaround the world. 

Contestants can showcase their visions of digital economy and future city through drawing pictures, writing articles and telling stories. The organizers will contribute the outstanding ideas among the entries toward the implementation of the “Digital Longhua” strategy and the construction of future city scenarios.

According to a staffer withthe Longhua District Government Services and Data Management Bureau, preliminaries of the amateur’s group kicked off April 25 and will run through July 16. Finals of the group is scheduled to be held between July 17 and August 26.

The competition also welcomes children and teenagers to join in. Among the three categories with“future city” as the main theme, the painting contest is open exclusively to Grade 1 to 3 students; the story-telling contest is open to Grade 3 to 6 students, which will be held both online and offline; and the writing competition is open to professional writers and writing enthusiasts of all ages to share their insights on the development of digital economy, future city and e-government.
